The Costain Rotary Preston Western Distributor Road Races 2022 are a one off event taking place on a new section of the Preston Western Distributor Road; part of a major road infrastructure investment by Lancashire County Council in west Preston, organised by the Rotary Club of Preston Guild.
The runs will take place on a dual carriageway section of the new Preston Western Distributor Road. The road is flat, has been UKA accurately measured and has full PB potential at both 5k and 10k distances - both races are chip timed. Bespoke medals and t-shirts for all finishers, plus prizes. Entries are limited.
The idea for this ONCE in a lifetime run is to celebrate the investment in the new road and provide a memory for all entrants who will have a lifelong memory when they later drive on the road. For the 5k & 10k winners their course records will stand for ever.
All proceeds are for charity supporting the work of Preston Guild Rotary Club.
The location of the event HQ will be confirmed in the next few weeks along with car parking arrangements.
Start Times :
5k - 12 noon
10k – 1:30pm
